Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of mysite-name's design courses across England. Please read them carefully before enrolling to ensure a clear understanding of our educational services, student responsibilities, and the creative learning process.
1. Service Agreement
By enrolling in mysite-name's design courses—whether through our website, telephone, or in-person registration—you agree to these terms. Our educational services comply with relevant UK regulations including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and quality standards for creative education.
We specialize in providing practical design education with industry-relevant content for students across England, focusing on hands-on creative skills and project-based learning.
2. Educational Services and Creative Curriculum
Our design courses include creative instruction, design exercises, project work, and educational support. We integrate current industry design practices and software tools into our curriculum while maintaining educational foundations.
We reserve the right to update course content to reflect evolving design trends and industry requirements. Creative curriculum changes will be communicated to enrolled students with reasonable notice.
3. Student Responsibilities and Creative Engagement
To ensure successful learning outcomes, students agree to:
- Attend scheduled creative sessions and participate in design exercises
- Complete assigned design projects and engage with learning materials
- Practice design skills outside of formal instruction time
- Seek creative guidance when facing design challenges
- Respect intellectual property rights in design work
Active creative participation and consistent practice significantly enhance design skill development.
4. Enrollment and Payment Terms
Course enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or agreed deposit. We require payment before course commencement, with payment plans available for longer creative programs. We accept bank transfers, major credit cards, and educational funding options where applicable.
Prices are quoted in British pounds and include access to learning materials and basic creative support. Additional charges may apply for specialised design software licenses or premium creative resources.
5. Technical Requirements and Creative Setup
Students are responsible for ensuring they have suitable computer equipment and design software for creative courses. We provide technical requirements before course start and basic assistance with creative software setup.
While we support students with educational technical issues, we cannot provide comprehensive IT support for personal equipment or software configurations outside our learning platform.
6. Design Software and Tools Access
Course access is provided through our learning management system and associated design tools. Platform access is granted for the course duration and any agreed extension period. Shared design resources and creative environments are subject to fair use policies.
We maintain educational platforms for student benefit but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access due to occasional maintenance or technical issues beyond our control.
7. Creative Project Work and Design Submissions
Students retain intellectual property rights to original design work created during courses. However, we may use anonymised project examples for educational purposes with student permission.
All submitted design work must be your own creative output or properly attributed. Use of design templates is permitted but must be disclosed and should supplement rather than replace creative learning.
8. Creative Progress and Completion
We conduct regular progress assessments through practical design exercises and project reviews. Certificates of completion are awarded to students who demonstrate satisfactory understanding of course material through completed creative projects and assessments.
Our course completion certificates indicate design skills developed but do not represent accredited qualifications unless specifically stated.
9. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Students may cancel enrollment up to 14 days before course commencement for a full refund. Cancellations within 14 days of start date may incur an administrative fee of 20% of the course cost. Once courses have commenced, refunds are generally not available except in exceptional circumstances.
For students who cannot complete a course due to documented medical or personal emergencies, we may offer course credit or partial refunds at our discretion.
10. Student Conduct and Creative Integrity
We maintain a respectful, collaborative creative environment. Students must demonstrate professional conduct, respect diverse creative perspectives, and adhere to our code of conduct. We reserve the right to remove students who violate these standards without refund.
Submission of work that is not your own creative output, or excessive reliance on design templates without creative adaptation, is considered contrary to learning objectives.
11. Intellectual Property and Creative Materials
All course materials, design exercises, and educational content are our intellectual property. This includes specially developed design challenges, creative briefs, and assessment materials. Students may use these materials for personal educational purposes but may not reproduce, distribute, or use them for commercial teaching activities.
Course materials are provided for individual student use during and after the course, but mass distribution or republication is prohibited.
12. Liability and Creative Outcomes
We provide quality design instruction and educational support, but cannot guarantee specific creative career outcomes or design employment. Skill development depends on multiple factors including student creative effort, prior experience, and consistent practice.
Our liability is limited to the course fees paid. We are not responsible for creative opportunities lost or gained based on design skills developed through our courses.
13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, we encourage direct communication to resolve issues amicably. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled under the laws of England and Wales through the appropriate courts.
We are committed to resolving educational concerns fairly and efficiently. Please contact us first at [email protected] with any course-related issues before pursuing formal dispute resolution.
14. Terms Modification
We reserve the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our educational services, UK regulations, or advancements in design education methodologies. The current terms are always available on our website, and continued enrollment in our courses constitutes acceptance of any updates.
